WATCHING A TELEVISION
For elders watching television can be a pass times, and they also can relax. It would allow them to keep their minds off other disturbing or stressing events in their life. Tamil programs can be easily telecast from India. For those elders with severe illness, television would act as a comfort object, thus providing those with disability with knowledge and news from outside the home, and in the world.
Hence, I would strongly suggest a television to be presented, rather than a computer or some religious books.
Watching Television Advantages and Disadvantages
Television has its advantages and disadvantages to both adults and children. It is one of the best sources of live news and updates throughout the world. Watching TV, children are able to expand their knowledge by watching educational channels, citizens become aware of the issues within and neighboring countries and it also creates a family time.
Family time is something that is hard to attain in today's busy world. Watching a movie or a reality show, allows children and adults to come together to form a bond. Watching matches without going to a big stadium, is one of the biggest advantages.
We are also able to replay past matches if it is missed. TV has plenty of channels that provide us with health information, yoga tips, beauty tips, and quiz programs.
As much as TV is good, it also damages nerves, eyes and take up a lot of quality time. Children fail to obtain exercise, viral views of false information while deteriorating our health tremendously. Those who tend to watch TV often, turn into couch potatoes and have many health issues. Children become slaves to the TV shows and slowly lose interest in the outside world.
